New year requires some organization

I would like to think that I am pretty organized. However, in the last few months that has fallen by the way side and I have really felt like I've been spinning in circles and getting no where. Now, that could be due to the fact that both my baby sisters were/are getting married, I work full time, it is the holiday season, and I'm a full time student. Nevertheless, organization was needed to regain control of the house, chores, and just keeping on top of our busy lives. Today I dedicated the day to building a few things that would help out. Enjoy!

Paint Chip "dry erase" weekly planner
My schedule is wacky with all of my after-school duties, games, events and its nice to have it at a glance especially when planning meals (think crockpot nights). So I threw this together with a frame I had in my frame stash (great buys at Michaels when on clearance!), some white scrapbooking 12x12 paper & some of my paint chips from my multiple trips to Walmart, Lowes & Home Depot. I always grab a few and they usually prove to come in handy. For the letters, I used my creative memories lettering only because I didn't want to drag my vinyl out and cut everything with my my Cricut. Super easy!

And finally for my organization center I needed to get a cleaning regiment down. I am way to busy to spend all of my free time (what is that??) on the weekends cleaning and playing catch up. So I wrote a list of everything that needs to get down weekly (Laundry, wiping down cabinets, bathrooms, etc.) then divided it up over the week. That way its manageable, will only take maybe 30-45 of times (minus those pesky laundry days), and I can still watch all the reality TV I want. I left Saturday and Sunday open because I can catch up on those days if I have a night event, or it is my hope that I will do all the "to-do'" stuff during the week and relax a bit on the weekends.

Happy organizing!
